Famous Last Words: Week 5 Update

Week 5 has been a success for me. This week has gone by great for me so far. I read the graphic novel, "Sita: Daughter of the Earth". It was by far my favorite story I have read for this class so far. I can not recommend the graphic novel enough for those who are looking for additional readings. The graphic novel was beautiful and portrayed the story of Sita from a different perspective. I am excited to start reading the Mahabharata. A friend told me that it was more emotional to him compared to the Sita and it actually made him cry, so I am interested to find out more about the Mahabharata.

In addition, this past week has been good. I have pretty much been working and going to school. Preparing for Valentine's day was hectic. There were so many pre-orders to do at my work for Valentines day because everyone wants strawberries that day. However, the week has finally slowed down and now we are pretty much restocking and catching up. I am also excited for this coming week. One of my best friends birthday is coming up so she is having a birthday week celebration, but I will only be celebrating this Friday.

I am also thinking about doing some paid research during the summertime. I am excited to apply for it, so hopefully I will get into the paid research. The topic sounds interesting plus it is paid, so I will not have to worry about lack of money during the summertime. I still do not want summer to come though, because I still need to take my MCAT, and I am no where near prepared for that. These next few months will be me having no life preparing for the MCAT because I want to apply this cycle, so I have to continue working hard, but I think I goth this.

  1. I may take you up on reading Sita:Daughter of Earth. I am very curious about Sita's story also. I am curious how your friend will spend a whole week celebrating the day of their birth...that will be a lot of activities! I always try to find something fun to do for my birthday, but it always ends up being slightly disappointing. I think something to do with anticipation, haha.
Love your photo....the chocolate strawberry that you never want to see again! hahaha, too funny. I bet your job smells amazing though.
